[Our profile is active and we are actively seeking housesits as of August 2026] Hi, we are Mark and Beth - an American born children’s book writer / communications specialist who works from home and a Welsh born Aussie who’s lived in Tas for more than a decade. He makes really cool handbags using Japanese fabrics and upcycled fabrics (and is also a registered support worker). We have no pets, but love them, and will give lots of love to yours. We are very reliable and will send regular updates on your plants and pets (Mark has a serious green thumb). We are ideally looking for longer term sits, preferably near Hobart, but will consider outside of the region as well depending on the sit (we both have a car). We are considering buying a home and thought this would be a great way to explore different areas throughout Tasmania - and hopefully helpful to others as well.
