Having Erica and Alan to house sit our two precious pooches was a wonderful experience for us. Our holiday was hassle free from the first moment we met (three months before we left). They had great communication whilst we were away. Coming home the dogs didn't even go way too crazy as they usually do. They had been kept to their routines and were very relaxed, their time without us was obviously stress free. Our house was spotless and we highly recommend Erica and Alan as your house sitters. We asked Karen and Andrew to house sit our home to care for our much loved pet dog Macy. We became aware that Karen and Andrew were professional house sitters when we joined House Sitting Tasmania and we were aware of the credentials of this community that it's house sitting members were vetted and reputable. On this basis we had no problems in arranging to meet them and discuss the potential of caring for Macy whilst we were away for 7 weeks.
At the first meeting we were offered references for prior house sitting arrangements as well as police checks. We were also asked to complete a questionnaire about our expectations and details of the house and Macy’s habits (which are particular and demanding). We took this as a very promising sign that they were very professional and would care for Macy and our home as we would hope they would. Indeed it was obvious to us that both Karen and Andrew are animal lovers and from the first meeting we could see that there was a mutual warmth between them and Macy
Whilst we were away we received an email each Wednesday and Sunday as arranged telling us about Macy and her regular outings (they kept her well exercised and groomed). We also loved seeing the many beautiful photographs of Macy they sent too. During our absence there were no problems and Macy and our home were obviously well cared for. Indeed we took Macy to the Vet for her annual injections and check-up the week we got home. The vet told us that she was fit and in excellent health.
Our house was beautifully presented and clean, there were flowers in a vase and an assortment of fresh food left for us to enjoy. It was as though we had not been away. We were so pleased with the outcome that we have already arranged for Karen and Andrew to come and stay with Macy whilst we are away for a couple of weeks in November. We know that after their next stay at our home they are going to live and work in Europe for an extended period and will be seeking opportunities to house sit there. They go with our unfettered endorsement as trustworthy professional and caring house sitters.

House Sitting Tasmania have exceeded our expectations. We were away for 5 weeks and despite last minute changes to our departure, Rachel and Shaun managed the gaps efficiently and with the upmost consideration to our fur babies. Rachel and Shaun are so organised and can coordinate anything to seem effortless and stress free! Andrew and Karen stepped in to cover the first five days and not only kept everyone well fed and happy but gifted us the most incredible photos of our frolicking creatures at the end of it! Rachel and Shaun cared for our home as if it were their own, took on the impossible mission of keeping the grass and plants alive through drought conditions and still found time to give each and every animal their daily dose of love. And we are not talking 1 or 2 animals. They cared for a veritable menagerie of assorted species: 3 rabbits, a cat and a dog. All looked and acted as if they had been the ones who'd been on holiday! The house was immaculate when we returned with absolutely no sign of incident. It was obvious how conscientious and careful Rachel and Shaun are. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for keeping our beloved fur babies so well cared for. We'd have you back anytime and look forward to seeing yours dentures on Facebook. Wow. What can I say! We were lucky enough to have Rachel and Shaun cover the first few days of our holiday. ..and then Katie and Jacob from House Sitting Tasmania to cover the last few days. Our two fur babies, Spike and Scully, were happy to see us when we got home, but they were so relaxed and happy....we just knew they'd been spoiled rotten. It was almost like they looked at us and thought 'Meh...so you're back? ' There was nothing at all for us to worry about. ..both sitters organised handover and there were no worries there. Thankyou Rachel and Shaun we just wanted to let you know how wonderful Andrew and Karen were at minding the house and Tilly while we were away over Easter. They did a brilliant job and the house was tidier when we came back than when we left it! They’d even bought milk and fruit for us, and replaced the jam and peanut butter - which we had no expectation of them doing. Tilly was so relaxed when we arrived home that we knew she’d had a great time and been cared for well - it just confirms our belief that it’s much better to keep her at home when we’re away than to put her in a boarding kennel, we’ll definitely look to House Sitting Tasmania again next time!

With our family holiday approaching we were stuck wondering what we would do with all our animals while we were away! Luckily Rachel and Shaun from House Sitting Tasmania were able to help us out with a couple perfect for the task! With 16 Chickens, 5 ducks, 2 crazy sheep, 2 guinea pigs, 2 dogs and 5 fish we knew it was going to be a big ask for someone but luckily Karen & Andrew were up for a challenge! We knew from the moment we met them that we had hit the house sitter jackpot and were blown away with how easily they won over all the animals on their first meeting. They were super organised covering all bases with a checklist for us to fill out covering all the important details, making it easy for us to relax. Upon returning home the house was spotless, cleaner than it was when we left and most importantly all the animals were happy and healthy!! I was so relieved to be able to leave our fur kids in their own home and in our house sitters very capable hands. Especially our 15 yr old dog. I would highly recommend them to house/pet sit. They were very friendly, punctual, clean and tidy, thoughtful and left our house spotless. Worst thing is I think our dogs would quite easily live with them forever and not give us a second thought.
